Global Community Initiative

We consider Student Blogging as a very powerful learning material and hence our students are encouraged to blog. We are now able to provide an appropriate environment for student blogging, starting from the new academic year 2012. For the last 02 years, we have conducted computer literacy programs for ALL our students. Meanwhile we are now confident of our establishment of necessary facilities including 24 hours internet, a PC for every 02 teachers and 30 PCs in our computer room.

For us, it is wonderful when students think they are having so much fun, they forget that they are actually learning while providing a potential global audience for our students. As we have ensured 100 percent computer literacy, student blogging is suitable for all learning styles and appropriate for students of all learning abilities.

Through our ‘eJournal Campaign’, we aim to increase student motivation for writing as well as reading. It is expected that all students will try their level best to make their own blogs look good in terms of presentation and content leading to promote self-confidence and pride in their work.

It is by nature that the students like to share their good works resulted from their intellectual stills, proofreading skills and validation skills. Comments to their blogs by other students, teachers and some of their friends will help students learn from each other and also to learn from mistakes. Peer to peer mentoring leads to team spirit and self-regulated learning.

We are confident that student blogging will promote metacognition and hence we will be able to prepare our students for the digital citizenship of the 21st century’s global community.

Students and Teachers may obtain the password from the office and click on the appropriate link to start blogging.
